RAK - Nov. 5th UPDATE

Tonight at Random Acts, the team, once again, continued to connect with the people down in Hickory. We actually had a comment from two lovely girls who met the team saying, “You guys are the happiest people we’ve ever met!” Every Random Acts night, someone informs us on how much we are impacting the community down there. God has truly blessed Random Acts and it is really starting to show. We even have the opportunity to bless the kids that run around there at night. About 2 Random Acts ago we started handing out candy to the kids we meet. The smile on the little faces brings a smile to our faces.

The big thing tonight that stuck out, was the appreciation and love we get from the acts of kindness we bring to the community of hickory. They all are willing to talk and be open the more we come down there. They know us, and know our purpose in simply passing out pizzas. They know our hearts and why we do this. Which is completely eye-opening. It’s never just another Random Acts night. Never.

RAK - Oct. 15th Update

Tonight at Random Acts, we had a lot of new people joining the team, which led to splitting into three teams. What’s interesting is each team noticed how many people are wanting prayer more than anything from us. It’s also amazing how many relationships we have built down there. Tonight especially, conversations were deep and long, between a person receiving pizza. God literally directed each and every one of us to a specific person. We knew right away what to do next and who to go to next.

A man we met told us that what we’re doing is changing the people down there. He sees how, not only the pizzas, but the prayer is changing the community. It’s incredible to know that the blessings we give out every other Friday night are actually changing and impacting the lives, and that’s all we ever want to do when we’re out there.

RAK Update

Tonight at Random Acts, the team checked out the new area we had found the last night we went out, Blue Ridge Heights. God had a purpose for us finding this neighborhood. As soon as we got there, the people of the neighborhood noticed us right away. They literally waited out there for us, and it wasn’t for the pizza this time, but prayer! They know us and what we do, and why we do it. I talked to this lady who had recently been in the hospital after having a stroke. She asked me to pray for God to send his healing. They actually had specific prayer requests! It’s amazing and quite fascinating how it’s not about the pizza anymore, but prayer! Every Random Acts night is different from another. God knows just how to surprise us. He has a plan, and he fulfills it every time.
